Laser Liposuction Fat Removal and skin Tightening Technique.

It is everybody’s dream to have a fat-free, sculpted and natural body. However, due to genetic factors, poor lifestyles, lack of physical exercises and poor diets, some people have excessive body fats that make them develop low self-esteem.

However, with advancement in cosmetic and plastic surgery industry, there is no need for worry.

There are numerous fat removal methods that one can choose from. One of the highly recommended methods is laser liposuction.

Recently, one of my best friends, Lindsay, who has been struggling with stubborn tummy fat, approached me for a medical advice.

To reduce her tummy fat, a friend of hers had proposed that she tries a procedure called laser lipo.

Lindsay has never heard about this procedure. The only fat removal procedure she is aware of is CoolSculpting. Some of the questions bothering her include:

  • Is laser lipo safe for her?
  • How much does it cost?
  • What are the different types of laser lipolysis that she can choose from?
  • Is laser liposuction better than CoolSculpting?

Below are some of my professional responses to Lindsay’s questions.

What is laser liposuction?

Laser liposuction also referred to as laser lipolysis, is an invasive cosmetic surgery that, unlike liposuction that uses a vacuum suction, melts away excess body fat using heat generated by fiber-optic lasers at different wavelengths.

It was first officially approved as an invasive cosmetic surgery in 2006. It is recognized as one of the fat removal methods with quick recovery.

Some of the body areas where laser liposuction is best recommended to remove fats include the stomach, upper arms, upper thighs, flanks, and the chin.

Is laser lipo safe?

Laser liposuction makes use of a laser to liquefy the fat from the body areas under treatment.

This makes it less invasive. When done by a qualified and experienced surgeon, this procedure is considered safe.

However, like other surgeries, laser lipolysis has some possible health complications. Some of the laser lipo side effects include:

  • Bleeding for some patients
  • Nerve injuries and blood clots for patients who adversely react to anesthesia
  • Minor bruising and pain immediately after the procedure
  • development of infections and skin necrosis
  • lack of sensation on the treated area
  • development of a scar on the treated area
  • stained or flappy skin if you have this skin type that is unable to take slack,
  • discomfort in the treated body area.

How much is a laser liposuction?

Like any other treatment, the cost of a laser lipolysis depends on the following factors:

  • your geographical location
  • The expert skill or knowledge of the surgeon performing the procedure.
  • insurance covers.

Averagely, laser liposuction cost ranges between $2,500 and $5,450.

Types of Laser Liposuction

Laser liposuction comes in different types. There are high-level and low-level laser liposuctions.

One of the highly recommended low-level laser lipo is strawberry.

Strawberry laser liposuction

This is a low-level laser, approved by FDA and designed to be totally pain-free.

It achieves results without any downtime. It is done by wrapping a paddle against the skin before penetrating a cold red laser beam.

The red laser beam makes pores in the fat cell, as a result, triggering the lymphatic system to release glycerol, water, and fatty acids.

This does not affect surrounding tissues, nerves and skin cells.

Laser lipo vs. coolsculpting

Both laser liposuction and coolsculpting are body fat removal methods. They both have fewer side effects.

However, while laser lipo is invasive, coolsculpting is noninvasive.

Unlike coolsculpting, laser liposuction achieves quicker results and patients recover quickly.

Conclusion

If you want a quick way to remove body fats, laser lipolysis is the recommended method.

However, you should first explore natural fat removing methods before choosing laser lipo.

Laser liposuction cannot replace natural methods of fat removal such as physical exercises and healthy diet.
